Brake Magazine is an online motorcycle adventure magazine, centred around video based content. It’s headed up by me, Dakar finisher Llewelyn (Llel) Pavey and backed with a small crew of enthusiastic, superb testers and riders. After five years as a freelance off-road motorcycle journalist, I set up Brake as a platform aiming to produce unique, fresh content for adventurists and motorcyclists. The aim has and always will be to provide the most engaging, highest quality content possible and in 2023 we’re achieving industry leading numbers, punching way beyond our wait and doing so with a marketing leading production quality.

Brake Magazine is entirely about producing exciting, engaging, detailed and quality content for our audience. In 2023 what engages people is mostly still the same, but how you engage them has changed. Brake Magazine, the concept of Youtube content and the detail you need to reach to keep producing great quality video has evolved and so we’ve evolved too.
The days of a journalist stood behind a bike free-styling thoughts are gone. We’re taking the skills from Moto Journalism and building retention focussed, effective content marketing that gives you a great platform to drive exposure for your brand.
The proof of this is in the pudding. From the 2023 V-Strom 1050 Press intro, the Brake Magazine review outperformed the UK’s biggest titles in a head to head to battle. That’s right, the juggernauts MCN, Bike World and 44Teeth. Every step of the video was considered, thought about and produced. That is why we’re different.
