Dunlop Tyre Advertising Proposal
Brake Magazine.
Brake is a video centric magazine producing motorcycle and adventure content that can work for your brand.
We believe in adding value.
Since Brake Magazine was originally launched a lot has changed. We’ve transitioned from written content to a video centric platform, moved from driving views to our website to meeting our audience where they are and learnt a ton along the way.
Over the last three years we’ve found the most rewarding videos are those that give something back. We want every video to teach you something, inspire you to ride your bike, get into the outdoors or put a smile on your face. Making content for contents sake doesn’t make us tick. Every video we produce has to fall into this idea. The end goal is to make videos that are both enjoyable for our audience to watch and that work for your brand, to keep your audience engaged across all social streams.
Our Social Media Videos & Images.
Our social content can be broken down into four categories; Youtube based video content, Instagram/Facebook content, podcast content and paid subscriber only content.
For Youtube we primarily produce videos between 5 and 20 minutes long, depending on the subject matter. Such videos include our popular series of MiniTip Mondays, Bike Reviews, Project Bike Series and Podcast Segments.
For other social platforms we tailor the content accordingly, making trailers for videos or short form, 60 second long versions of our YouTube content. We also shoot our photos predominantly in portrait to maximise their effectiveness.
The aim for the doing this is to provide eye catching, engaging content for our social media and our sponsors social media. It provides an effective content fit for each platform without creating potentially damaging situations such as attempting to share direct Youtube links through Facebook.
MiniTip Monday - Video Series
MiniTip Monday is our main video series. The core idea is adventure and enduro riding How To videos broken up into less than ten minute chunks.
These videos have proven popular and one of the main parts of our channel. Each season of ten episodes is totalling over 500,000 views in six months.
Examples of Photo Content
Retro vs Modern - Video Series
Retro vs Modern is a video series comparing modern adventure or trail bikes against their original counterparts from the late 1980’s up to the early 2000’s.
This series has proven a lot of fun to make, is a big hit with our audience and is averaging around 110,000 views per episode over 12 months.
Bike Reviews - Videos
Over the last three years we’ve become know for producing some of the most detailed and carefully constructed bike reviews on Youtube. As with all our content, we focus solely on dual sport and adventure style bikes with an off-road focus. The approach to giving as much information as possible has led to a good, highly engaged following.
